The GPF now accepts online donations

For over 50 years the Ghar Parau Foundation has supported British cavers in their quests to find, document, research and explore caves in foreign countries. The fund hopes to give a boost to the funds of expeditions to allow them to expand their achievements in the short space of time they have in the foreign country.

The Ghar Parau Foundation funds its objectives through its income sources. The primary source of income arises from donations made to the Charity, with the bank details being available to anyone who asks for them.

However sometimes donations are spur-of-the-moment decisions; maybe a business is looking to make a charitable donation, an individual is doing an epic effort for charitable causes, a caving club are holding a “pub quiz” at their hut with entry fees going to charity, or a group of friends are setting up a sweepstake for the football/rugby/golf/horses/length of passage found by British cavers.

To support you in helping us get more donations, we have brought onboard Sumup as our new payment provider.

Sumup is assisting us with the taking of payments for our range of Cards featuring caving pictures from around the world.

In addition to providing a way for people to buy specific items, Sumup also allows for payments for an amount specified by the individual making the payment, or in other words to make a generous donation without the need to obtain, copy and pay a set of bank details. We will be posting up some signs in caving clubs across the country asking for donations so that you can donate when the time suits you.
