The expedition returned to the high (>3,300m) Picos del Oro Plateau in North Peru. The weather was far wetter than in past years, and some caves were impassable. A promising shaft and dig behind the largest sink eventually choked. But on the last day a -197 m deep cave was explored and left ongoing, and is well placed to extend Peru’s longest cave.
